RETRO DROP: Deion Sanders’ Nike Air Diamond Turf Max ‘96, Officially Returns // Bucky’s ‘Well Off’ Is A Vibe // Sha’Carri Comes For Olympic Medal // Fro Butter for Hair Growth, Loc Setting & more
Last Fall, I mentioned Coach Prime’s recent accomplishments at Colorado State, and the cool relationship he has with his kids, on my FashSenseMedia blog.
I follow Deiondra, Shilo, and Deion Jr.’s social media pages…. As the second of four children, I love watching how the siblings interact with each other.
I also mentioned; Deion Sanders was in talks with Nike, for a new sneaker collaboration.
Well Sanders and Nike must have finalized negotiations, because they dropped a retro line of the Nike Air Diamond Turf Max ‘96 Black Varsity Maize sneakers on June 14th.
As a sneakerhead, who was outside when these first dropped in 1996, this is super exciting!
Can’t wait to see how streetwear guys and girlies throw these down.
They’re so fly, you can rock them with an ill fit or crush them with a t-shirt and tracksuit.
Speaking of t-shirts and tracksuits, I’m wondering if Deion Jr. (or Bucky as they call him), has plans to release a tracksuit color-way to go with the kicks.
I peeped what he’s doing with Well Off Media and Well Off merch (riving some of his father’s fashion looks), but It’s not clear if he released merch to match the sneakers.
Maybe I missed something, but I would love to see dudes rocking this track suit with the DT Max 96s.
I reached out to Bucky by the way - Waiting to hear back from him or his team...
I browsed Twitter, while waiting to connect, and came across 365OTG’s post asking which of the below 1996 kicks, you would choose if you had to pick 3.
See my response, and tell me your picks in the comments below.
Speaking of 1996, Sha’Carri Richardson who many compare to Olympic Gold Medalist, Track Legend Flo Jo, just won the 100m semi finals at the Olympic Trials, which makes her the first American Woman since 1996, to be eligible for the Paris Olympics.
Last year, she proved she could still dominate rocking her natural hair.
Which reminds me; whether you have a silk press, blow out, braids or locs, we gotta stay right from head to toe!
So I’m recommending a great natural hair product line, made with natural ingredients, for the Natural Community and Loc Mob.
It’s called Fro Butter, and offers a variety a hair care products that promote natural hair growth, repair, and styling for the whole family.
I haven’t tried all the products but my current top picks are the Fro Butter with Emu Oil and Fro Butter with Jamaican Castor Oil.
Browse their site at this link if you’re looking for good all natural products to help with alopecia, thinning, or graying hair, beards, etc. They even have Baby Butter!
Which one of the products featured above do you think would work best for your hair texture?
